Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
Professional proficiency in English and American Sign Language.
Ability to interpret between English and ASL.
Must Hold at least ONE ASL Certification (RID / EIPA / BEI).
State-specific ASL interpreting license where applicable.
Résumé in English during application.
Health-related prerequisites and client credentialing standards may apply.
Background checks, fingerprinting, and drug screening may be required.

Responsibilities

Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between English and ASL onsite.
Provide remote interpretation by phone or video when needed.
Follow interpreter protocols, professional standards, and client requirements.
Maintain confidentiality, privacy, security, and ethics for each assignment.
Travel to and from accepted onsite assignments as required.
