Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficiency in English and American Sign Language.
• Ability to interpret between English and ASL.
• At least one ASL certification (RID, EIPA, BEI).
• State-specific ASL interpreting license where required.
• One or more years of professional interpreting experience.
• Background checks may be required per client/site.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate consecutive interpretation onsite between English and ASL.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable.
• Follow interpreter protocols, standards, and client requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality, privacy, and data-security as required.
• Travel to accepted onsite assignments and maintain professional interactions.
