Job summary

VIP Auto Service in northern New England seeks a Master Technician to diagnose and repair automotive systems with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and customer service. You will follow VIP procedures, complete inspections, and ensure work is done right the first time.

ASE certifications and state inspections are part of ongoing qualification, with a goal of maintaining high productivity and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journals and procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Effectively explain vehicle information to customers and respond to questions.
  • Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems.
  • Interpret, understand, and apply written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
  • Ability to perform the automotive services listed in duties.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure workplace safety is Priority #1 and report unsafe conditions.
  • Provide automotive systems diagnosis, repair, and maintenance services.
  • Follow procedures for engine, transmission, drive train, suspension, brakes, electrical, heating/cooling, and engine performance.
  • Initiate a valid Service Work Order before service and display it with the vehicle.
  • Complete required printouts and return them with keys after service.
  • Return cores/tires to designated areas and maintain shop cleanliness.
  • Maintain productivity targets and support the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process.
