Job summary

Colonial Group seeks an ASE Technician to diagnose and repair automotive systems, following VIP-style processes and safety standards. You will service engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and HVAC, ensuring first-time quality. A strong emphasis on safety, training, and certification is required.

Position is non-exempt hourly, with standard 40-hour weeks and a structured training path to ASE certifications. Collaboration with Service Manager and Desk Team is essential.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Explain vehicle information to customers clearly and answer questions.
• Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems.
• Interpret and apply written or verbal instructions to service work.
• Ability to perform the automotive services listed in the ASE scope.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workplace safety is Priority #1 and follow all safety policies.
• Provide automotive diagnosis, repair, and maintenance services for customers per ASE certifications.
• Initiate and display Service Work Order before service; ensure MPI before service.
• Obtain needed parts from Desk Team and return unused parts after service.
• Maintain 16-week productivity targets for technician levels and quality standards.
