Job summary

VIP, Inc. is seeking an ASE Technician to perform diagnostics and repairs across engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, electrical, HVAC, and related systems. The role emphasizes safe, accurate service with adherence to VIP processes and licensing requirements.

The technician must complete required LMS training, achieve ASE certifications, and participate in the 5-for-5 engagement process to educate customers about vehicle conditions.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Explain vehicle information to customers and respond to questions from coworkers.
• Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems.
• Interpret, understand, and apply written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
• Able to perform the automotive services listed (A1–A8) as required.

Responsibilities

• Provides automotive systems diagnosis, repair, and maintenance services for customers.
• Ensures a valid Service Work Order is initiated and displayed with the vehicle.
• Completes MPI prior to service and supports the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement Process.
• Obtains needed parts from Desk Team and returns unused parts after service completion.
• Maintains safety, quality, and shop housekeeping standards.
