Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking an Installation Technician to perform automotive repair and maintenance services, including tires, oil changes, and MPI inspections, while maintaining safety and quality standards. The role requires following VIP processes and completing required training and ASE certifications to ensure high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities include ensuring proper work orders, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining shop organization.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journals or procedures
• Explain vehicle information clearly to customers and coworkers
• Diagnose basic automotive problems and recommend solutions
• Interpret and apply written/oral instructions to service tasks
• Perform automotive services listed (tires, oil, MPI, etc.) and ensure compliance

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and complete safety training; report hazards
• Provide tire, oil, MPI, alignment and preventive maintenance services
• Initiate and display a valid Service Work Order before servicing a vehicle
• Ensure MPI is completed and support the 5-for-5 engagement process
• Obtain needed parts from the desk team and return unused parts
• Maintain a 50% productivity average over 16 weeks
• Keep work area clean and adhere to quality standards and regulations
