Job summary

VIP is seeking an ASE Technician in Sanford, ME to diagnose and repair automotive systems, following VIP processes for a quality, customer-first experience. You will work safely, coordinate with the Service Manager, and ensure all paperwork is accurate before returning vehicles to customers.

The role requires ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5 or equivalent), a state inspection license, and a willingness to complete LMS training and ongoing certification.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journals and procedures.
• Explain vehicle information to customers and respond to questions.
• Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems.
• Interpret written/oral instructions and apply them to service tasks.
• Able to perform automotive services listed in duties.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize workplace safety and follow all safety policies.
• Provide diagnosis, repair, and maintenance for multiple vehicle systems.
• Ensure a valid Service Work Order is initiated before service.
• Complete MPI and participate in the 5-for-5 engagement process.
• Return unused parts and receipts to the Desk Team after service.
• Maintain productivity targets and shop cleanliness.
