Job summary

Vance Thompson Vision is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join our team in Minnesota. You will prepare and sterilize instruments, assemble trays, and help maintain a clean and organized operating environment to support safe patient care.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, with a basic understanding of instrument processing and the ability to adapt to rotating duties in a fast-paced OR setting. High school diploma required; prior processing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and instrument processing experience (preferred).
• Detail-oriented with critical thinking.
• Able to adapt and prioritize duties in a surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, sterilize, install, assemble and clean equipment for surgeries and procedures.
• Inspect supplies to ensure they are clean and sanitized.
• Ensure equipment and instruments can be reused safely to prevent infection.
• Assist in organizing and operating room activities per standards and policies.
• Clean, organize and restock operating rooms after procedures.
• Create and maintain instrument trays and inventory for efficiency.
• Manage opening, closing and stocking of sterile core.
• Assist nurses and physicians to deliver high-quality patient care.
