Job summary

Vance Thompson Vision in Minnesota is seeking a Surgical Technician to support nurses and physicians in delivering the highest standard of eye care. The role emphasizes staying current with ophthalmic surgical technologist practices and adhering to hospital standards.

You will help organize the operating room, prepare equipment, and assist the surgeon during procedures, while contributing to a patient-centered environment and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Completed an approved school of Surgical Technology.
• In lieu of the educational experience, management will consider an Ophthalmic Assistant certification and an Ophthalmic Surgical Assisting certification.
• Previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the nurses and physicians in delivering the highest standard of patient care available.
• Acquiring and maintaining current knowledge in surgical technologist practice.
• Assisting in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established federal, state, and accreditation standards and center policies and procedures.
• Preparing equipment and aiding surgeon during treatment and examination of patients.
