Job summary

Vance Thompson Vision seeks a Surgical Technician to join our operating team and help deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced ophthalmic environment.

The ideal candidate completed an approved Surgical Technology program or holds Ophthalmic Assistant certification, with prior experience preferred, and a commitment to ongoing learning and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Completed an approved school of Surgical Technology.
• In lieu of the educational experience, management will consider an Ophthalmic Assistant certification.
• Ophthalmic Surgical Assisting certification may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses and physicians to deliver high patient care.
• Maintain current knowledge in surgical technologist practice.
• Organize and manage operating room per standards and policies.
• Prepare equipment and aid surgeon during treatment.

• Assisting the nurses and physicians in delivering the highest standard of patient care available.
• Acquiring and maintaining current knowledge in surgical technologist practice.
• Assisting in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established federal, state, and accreditation standards and center policies and procedures.
• Preparing equipment and aiding surgeon during treatment and examination of patients.

You Have

• Completed an approved school of Surgical Technology. In lieu of the educational experience, management will consider an Ophthalmic Assistant certification and an Ophthalmic Surgical Assisting certification.
• Previous experience preferred
