Job summary

Vance Thompson Vision in Bozeman, Montana is seeking a Part Time Surgical Technician to join our team as the new Surgery Center opens in February 2027, with January 2027 start.

You will support nurses and physicians, keep current surgical technologist knowledge, ensure OR readiness, and help prepare equipment and assist the surgeon during treatment.

Qualifications

• Completed an approved school of Surgical Technology.
• In lieu of formal education, Ophthalmic Assistant certification may be considered.
• Ophthalmic Surgical Assisting certification may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the nurses and physicians in delivering the highest standard of patient care available.
• Acquiring and maintaining current knowledge in surgical technologist practice.
• Assisting in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established federal, state, and accreditation standards and center policies and procedures.
• Preparing equipment and aiding surgeon during treatment and examination of patients.

You Have

• Completed an approved school of Surgical Technology. In lieu of formal education, management will consider an Ophthalmic Assistant certification and an Ophthalmic Surgical Assisting certification. We are also willing to train the right candidate.
• Previous experience preferred but not required
