Cribl, a remote-first B2B SaaS data observability company, seeks a Technical Revenue Manager to own ASC 606 policy and documentation. You will author technical position papers and guide cross-functional teams through new offerings with scalable, compliant revenue recognition.

You will partner with Product, Sales, Legal, and Deal Desk; resolve complex transactions; and support SOX controls, closing, and analytics. Base salary ranges publicly and benefits are comprehensive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active CPA license.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience with at least 2+ years of Technical Revenue experience.
• Deep ASC 606 expertise applied to multi-element, consumption-based, and hybrid arrangements.
• Experience with standalone selling price, performance obligation identification, variable consideration, and contract modifications.
• Demonstrated technical accounting research and writing skills with position papers and policies.
• Ability to identify defensible conclusions from commercial facts without over-analyzing.
• Proven ability to influence without direct authority and explain concepts to non-accountants.
• Experience with revenue controls and supporting external audits in a SOX environment.
• Advanced Excel, NetSuite, and Salesforce proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Cross-functional partnership and policy design with product, sales, legal, and deal desks for ASC 606.
• Research, resolve, and write technical revenue position papers documenting conclusions.
• Evaluate commercial structures and deployment models for accounting treatment and POBs.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to scale revenue processes and drive automation.
• Serve as primary contact for technical revenue with external auditors and SOX controls.
• Support month-end and quarterly close, including revenue reporting and flux analysis.
• Tackle ad hoc technical accounting requests and M&A-related revenue work.
