Job summary

Cribl, a B2B SAAS data observability company, seeks a Technical Revenue Manager to join our finance team and serve as ASC 606 subject matter expert. You will author positions and policies to enable new offerings on a compliant, scalable footing, drawing on deep ASC 606 expertise and strong technical writing.

You will collaborate with Product, Sales, Enterprise Applications, Legal, and Deal Desk to design policies, resolve complex accounting questions, and drive automation while supporting SOX

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Active CPA license.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience with at least 2+ years in Technical Revenue.
• Deep, practical ASC 606 expertise for multi-element, consumption-based, and hybrid arrangements.
• Direct experience with standalone selling price, POBs, variable consideration, and contract modifications.
• Technical accounting research and writing skills with documented position papers.
• Judgment to identify drivers of conclusions with concise analysis.
• Ability to influence without direct authority and explain concepts to non-accountants.
• Experience with revenue controls and SOX audits.
• Advanced Excel, NetSuite, and Salesforce skills.
• NetSuite ARM experience is a plus.
• Interest in applying AI and automation to finance operations.
• Public Accounting revenue ASC 606 background preferred.
• Exposure to M&A diligence or post-close revenue integration.
• Proficiency with generative AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Design revenue recognition policies as ASC 606 SME for new offerings.
• Research, resolve, and write technical revenue position papers.
• Evaluate commercial structures and deployment models for POBs.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to scale revenue processes and automation.
• Serve as primary contact for technical revenue with external auditors and SOX control documentation.
• Support month-end close, revenue reporting, and flux analysis.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects, including merger and acquisition activity.
