Cribl, a B2B SAAS data observability leader, is hiring a Technical Revenue Manager. You will be the ASC 606 expert, authoring revenue policies for new offerings and collaborating with Product, Sales, Legal, and Deal Desk to ensure compliant, scalable launches.

You will write technical accounting papers, evaluate commercial structures, and drive cross-functional initiatives to streamline revenue processes, SOX controls, and audits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience with at least 2+ years in technical revenue.
• Deep ASC 606 expertise for multi-element, consumption-based and hybrid arrangements.
• Experience with standalone selling price, performance obligations, variable consideration, and contracts.
• Strong technical accounting research and writing skills with documented position papers.
• Ability to influence without authority and explain complex concepts to non-accountants.
• Experience with revenue controls and SOX audits.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with NetSuite and Salesforce.
• Public accounting background with revenue (ASC 606) exposure.
• Experience with M&A diligence or post-close revenue integration.
• Interest in applying AI and automation to finance operations.

Responsibilities

• Design revenue recognition policies and positions for new products; document technical guidance.
• Research and write technical revenue position papers explaining accounting conclusions.
• Evaluate new commercial structures and deployment models for ASC 606 treatment.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to scale revenue processes and policies.
• Serve as primary contact for auditors; maintain SOX control documentation.
• Support month-end/quarterly close and revenue flux analysis.
• Handle ad hoc technical accounting requests including post-M&A integration.
