Job summary

This role partners with faculty, alumni, employers, and university offices to expand career development resources. It requires strong organization, public speaking, and the ability to translate career information into actionable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus two years of experience working with high school or college students in an educational support, counseling, social work, achievement, advising or related role.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field may substitute for experience.
• Demonstrated organization, time management, verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with public speaking.
• Experience working collaboratively with and coordinating programs, projects, or events for multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to learn and translate extensive career information, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to both collaborate and self-manage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate state, national, and international experiential learning opportunities, including internships, professional experiences, educational travel, and other career-connected activities.
• Provide career and professional development support that prepares students for high level internships, employment, graduate study, and professional practice.
• Develop relationships with employers, alumni, professional organizations, and other external partners to expand career and experiential opportunities for students.
• Collaborate with faculty, UNL Global Affairs and other University offices, as well as College partners to coordinate experiential activities and connect students and faculty with appropriate resources.
• Track and communicate career and experiential learning activities and outcomes to support College priorities and program improvement.
