Job summary

University of Nebraska-Lincoln seeks an Events Coordinator for the Lied Center for Performing Arts. You will coordinate social functions, manage schedules, and serve as primary contact for artists, agents, and clients. You will also monitor budgets and assist with outreach programs and promotions with Marketing.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree plus two years in events coordination, strong communication, and computer skills. Some flexibility in schedule is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus two years' relevant experience in events coordination/management.
  • Equivalent education/experience will be considered.
  • Ability to negotiate and adapt to a flexible schedule and changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
  • Proficient computer skills: spreadsheets, word processing, email, scheduling software, and events management software.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate social functions and events at Lied Center or other venues with various stakeholders.
  • Act as primary contact and align event requirements across Lied Center departments.
  • Schedule events, coordinate transportation, and source hospitality supplies.
  • Monitor budgets and submit close-out costs.
  • Assist in outreach/education logistics and coordinate promotions with Marketing.
  • Ensure compliance with Lied Center and University policies for each event.
