Job summary

Eastern Kentucky University is seeking an Artist & Events Coordinator to direct event operations across campus, including back-of-house, volunteers and rentals at the Center for the Arts. You will manage artist services, residency activities and community performances, and oversee contracts, expenses, and on-site hospitality.

The role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences, coordinating event logistics, and maintaining strong client relations to ensure successful campus events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business management, theater arts, or related field.
• One year of directly related experience preferred (event planning, customer service, front of house guest service management).
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Direct operation of all events across campus, including back-of-house, volunteer and rental operations.
• Coordinate artist services, residency activities and community performances.
• Manage client services, event contracts and expenses; ensure contracts are executed.
• Serve as on-site manager for back-of-house hospitality at all events.
• Develop event management strategies to encourage repeat customers and excellent experiences.
