Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Andover, MA is seeking a Bakery Decorator to create and decorate cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order items with artistry and precision. You will uphold quality standards, support store programs, and ensure food safety and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include assembling, icing, and finishing cakes, guiding Apprentices, designing custom orders, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–12 months retail or restaurant experience.
• Bakery Decorator Apprentice training or equivalent experience.
• Prior bakery or grocery retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill, and finish/decorate cakes, tarts, and special-order items.
• Build, ice, and decorate cakes following standard procedures.
• Provide guidance to Bakery Decorator Apprentices and other team members.
• Create special order cake designs based on customer preferences.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers promptly.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment and follow safety standards.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties including signage and pricing.
