Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to plan and coordinate inbound/outbound Army equipment during turn-in at a contractor-operated site. You will ensure compliance with DTR and Army policies, maintain accurate documentation, and support government property accountability.

Responsibilities include scheduling, liaison with unit supply and drivers, and auditing shipping documents. Strong organizational skills and familiarity with Army systems are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience may substitute.
• 3–5 years in transportation or logistics coordination; Army contractor/military environment preferred.
• Experience with Army turn-in or SSA operations desirable.
• Familiarity with Army regulations and systems (TC-AIMS II, GCSS‑Army, DPAS, LMP).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to read, interpret, and prepare Army transportation forms.
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain CAC/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage receipt, processing, and shipment of vehicles, equipment, and repair parts returned by Army units.
• Develop and manage shipment schedules to prevent bottlenecks.
• Serve as primary liaison with unit supply, warehouse teams, drivers, and leadership.
• Review and authorize shipping/receiving documents (DA Form 1348‑1A, DD Form 1149, BLs).
• Audit movement data in TC‑AIMS II, GCSS‑Army, and DPAS for compliance.
• Maintain logs and audit readiness per ISO 9001:2015.
• Enforce DTR 4500.9‑R, AR 55‑355, AR 710‑2, AR 735‑5; oversee HAZMAT labeling.
• Oversee cargo securement and safety per Army/DOT/OSHA.
• Prepare daily/weekly movement status reports to Site Manager and COR.
• Analyze performance metrics and propose improvements.
• Serve as senior contact for transport issues; resolve discrepancies.
