Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to plan, schedule, and coordinate inbound and outbound movement of Army equipment during turn-in at a contractor-operated site. You will ensure shipments comply with DTR 4500.9-R, Army policies, and contract requirements, maintain documentation, and support government property accountability.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent work exp may be substituted.
• 3–5 years of transportation or logistics coordination (Army contractor or military environment preferred).
• Experience with Army turn-in or SSA operations is desirable.
• Familiarity with Army systems: TC-AIMS II, GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP.
• Ability to read, interpret, and prepare Army transportation forms.
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage operational activities related to receipt, processing, and shipment of vehicles, equipment, and repair parts returned by Army units.
• Develop and manage shipment schedules, adjusting timelines to prevent bottlenecks in high-volume operations.
• Act as primary liaison with unit supply personnel, warehouse teams, drivers, and leadership for seamless cargo flow.
• Review and authorize shipping/receiving documents (DA 1348-1A, DD 1149, bills of lading, TCMDs, load plans).
• Audit movement data in TC-AIMS II, GCSS-Army, and DPAS for compliance and accuracy.
• Maintain shipping/receiving logs and ensure audit readiness per ISO 9001:2015.
