Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) seeks a Transportation Coordinator to plan, schedule, and coordinate inbound/outbound Army equipment during turn-in at a contractor site. You’ll ensure compliance with DTR, Army policies, and contract requirements while maintaining documentation and government property accountability.

The role requires 3–5 years in logistics coordination, familiarity with Army systems, and strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in transportation or logistics coordination, Army contractor or military environment preferred.
• Experience with Army turn-in or SSA operations desirable.
• Familiarity with Army regulations: AR 55-355, AR 710-2, AR 735-5, and DTR 4500.9-R.
• Familiarity with Army systems: TC-AIMS II, GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with proof of vehicle insurance.
• Must be able to obtain CAC and Tier1/NACI background eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage operations for receipt, processing, and shipment of Army vehicles and parts.
• Develop shipment schedules and adjust timelines to prevent bottlenecks.
• Serve as liaison with unit supply, warehouse teams, drivers, and leadership.
• Review and authorize shipping/receiving documents (DA 1348-1A, DD 1149, bills of lading, TCMDs).
• Audit movement data in TC-AIMS II, GCSS-Army, and DPAS for accuracy.
• Maintain shipping/receiving logs and ensure ISO 9001:2015 audit readiness.
• Enforce DTR 4500.9-R, AR 55-355, AR 710-2, AR 735-5.
• Approve proper HAZMAT packaging, marking, labeling.
• Oversee cargo securement and safety compliance.
• Prepare analytical movement reports to Site Manager and COR.
• Analyze KPIs and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Serve as senior contact for transportation issues.
