Job summary

Walden Security is recruiting experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security at courthouses under the USMS contract. Responsibilities include screening, roving patrols, stationary posts, escorts, traffic control, and enforcing federal law to protect court personnel and the public.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least three (3) calendar years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or its military equivalency (within the last seven years).
• Experience must include general arrest authority.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record for the past five years.
• Must receive clearance from the Department of Justice and provide proof of certification.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and operate screening equipment to detect weapons and contraband.
• Perform roving patrols of court facilities and grounds.
• Stand stationary posts monitoring CCTV, duress alarms, and other security systems.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel as directed.
• Direct traffic and control lights on court facility properties where applicable.
• Enforce federal law and protect government employees and property.
• Prepare reports and records on contract performance, incidents, and security issues.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and inspect courtrooms prior to proceedings.
• Maintain order in the courtroom and enforce court rules and judicial orders.
