Job summary

Walden Security is seeking experienced Court Security Officers in Vermont to provide armed security for courthouses under the USMS contract. Duties include entrance control, roving patrols, stationary posts, escort services, traffic control, and enforcing federal law within court facilities.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least three years of verifiable law enforcement experience with arrest authority, valid driver's license, DOJ clearance, and completion of certified

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least three (3) calendar years of verifiable law enforcement experience with general arrest authority.
• Must complete or have completed certified Federal, state, county, local or military law enforcement training academy and provide proof.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control using security screening equipment and verify entry credentials.
• Roaming patrols of court facilities and grounds per post orders.
• Monitor CCTV, duress alarms, and other security equipment at posts.
• Provide armed escort services for judges, court personnel, jurors and designated individuals when directed.
• Direct traffic and control lights on court facility properties as described in procedures.
• Enforce federal law and court rules; detain unauthorized access and dangerous activities as needed.
• Prepare reports on incidents, labor hours, accidents, and other security-related events.
