Job summary

Walden Security is seeking experienced Court Security Officers for the Burlington, VT area under the USMS contract. Responsibilities include enforcing entry controls, roving patrols, stationary posts, and armed escort duties for judges and court personnel.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and at least three years as a certified law enforcement officer or equivalent military experience. A valid driver’s license and background clearance are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and enforce entry/ID system.
• Perform roving patrol of court facilities and grounds.
• Stand guard at stationary posts including CCTV and security systems.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel.
• Direct traffic and control lighting around court facilities.
• Prepare reports on incidents and contract performance.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and test security devices.
• Enforce federal law and court rules within the courthouse.
