Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three (3) calendar years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or military equivalency within the last seven years, with general arrest authority.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and security screening to detect weapons, contraband, and prohibited items.
• Roving patrols of court facilities and grounds.
• Stand stationary posts including monitoring CCTV, duress alarms, and courtrooms.
• Provide armed escort services for judges, court personnel, jurors, and others.
• Direct traffic and control lights on court facility properties where applicable.
• Enforce federal law and protect government property and court proceedings.
• Prepare reports on labor hours, incidents, and safety concerns.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and ensure courtroom security.

Education

Certified Federal/state/local law enforcement training academy
