Job summary

Walden Security is recruiting experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security at courthouses under the USMS contract. CSOs enforce federal law, conduct entrance control, roving patrols, stationary post duties and escorted security for court personnel.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, three years of verifiable law enforcement experience with authority, a valid driver's license, DOJ clearance, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to interpret and apply rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and screening to detect weapons and contraband.
• Rove through court facilities and patrol per post orders.
• Stand guard at stationary posts, monitor CCTV and security systems.
• Provide armed escorts for judges and court personnel as directed.
• Direct traffic and manage parking/ pedestrian flow at facilities.
• Detain individuals unlawfully on Government property or in court.
• Prepare incident and performance reports for contract review.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and inspect for safety prior to proceedings.
• Maintain courtroom order and enforce applicable laws and rules.
