Job summary

ELECTRIC MACHINERY COMPANY, a Division Of WEG Electric Corp. in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a Coil Manufacturing professional to set up and operate winding machines, inspect coils, and ensure adherence to specifications. The role emphasizes quality, safety, and procedure compliance on a 2nd shift.

The position is full-time (union) with weekend overtime opportunities and a $2.00 shift differential. Applicants should be able to read blueprints and work from schematics while maintaining data sheets

Qualifications

• High School degree (required) with 1 year of manufacturing experience (preferred).
• Must be able to read and write for proper application of procedures and other related departmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate coil winding machines to meet winding specifications.
• Train to all procedures specified by departmental supervisor.
• Discipline of shelf life material dates per Work Instructions.
• Calibrate measuring equipment to ensure product quality.
• Self-inspection to ensure product quality, including strand testing and repair shorts on coils.
• Read winding specifications and blueprints.
• Set up and use measuring equipment to check in-process work.
• Mount wire reels and start winding processes, ensuring bonds and packaging for inspection.
