Electric Machinery Company, a division of WEG Electric Corp., in Minneapolis, MN, seeks an Armature Winder for 2nd shift. The role involves winding stators/rotors, laying out windings from specs, and assembling/inspecting components in a union, full-time environment.

Responsibilities include winding, testing, and troubleshooting rotating equipment, following ISO 9001, with safety and process adherence. Benefits and shift differential are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to be certified in overhead crane, Jib crane and forklift operation.
• Math skills to compute cross sectional areas for wire splices.

Responsibilities

• Winds stators and rotors to Engineering specifications per procedures.
• Performs layout operations from armature winding specifications.
• Assembles temperature sensing devices per engineering requirements.
• Measures, orders, configures and inserts slot insulation.
• Brazes or solders connections using torches and induction equipment.
• Insulates connections, lashings, studs and lashing rings.
• Layout and connect phase groups per winding process specs.
• Read blueprints and work instructions; work in Winding Team as needed.
• Assist during final inspection and testing of stators/rotors.
• Comply with ISO 9001 and OSHA/EPA regulations.
