Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and help run daily operations, including opening/closing, supervising Associates, and ensuring a friendly, easy-to-shop environment.

You will lead merchandising, safety, loss prevention, back-end and front-end processes, and coaching of staff while upholding company standards and delivering great customer service.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise associates on duty.
• Maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment and ensure proper merchandising.
• Implement and supervise company operational processes.
• Ensure safety and security, including EAS checks and cash office security.
• Train and coach associates on cash registers and front-end procedures.
• Manage payroll-related tasks and scheduling where applicable.
• Oversee stockroom organization and merchandising in assigned area.
• Handle loss prevention and maintain public view monitor compliance.
