Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined section of the store and to supervise operations during the Manager on Duty shifts.

You will oversee opening/closing, staff supervision, and ensure a welcoming, well-merchandised space that aligns with company standards. Responsibilities include maintaining store safety, enforcing merchandising guidelines, training associates on cash handling, and coordinating front-end operations to reduce customer wait times.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• The Area Supervisor is a member of the Store Leadership who is responsible for a specific area of the Store and supervising operations when Manager on Duty.
• Open and close the Store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and a clean work area at all times.
• Execute and supervise company operational processes as needed; maintain safe and secure environment.
