Job summary

Ross Stores in the United States is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area, lead daily operations, and supervise associates while the Manager on Duty. You will ensure merchandise presentation and a clean shopping environment, training staff, and coordinating front-end flow.

You will also participate in loss prevention, payroll tasks, and back room organization, contributing to a positive customer experience and team development.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe and secure environment for customers and associates.
• Supervises store operations and ensures proper merchandise presentation.
• Trains and coaches associates on cash registers and policy compliance.
• Manages Front End flow and staffing, including breaks and backups.
• Oversees stockroom organization and back stock processing.
• Participates in payroll administration and daily cash handling.
