Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to join our store leadership team. This role oversees a specific area of the store and the general operations when acting as Manager on Duty, including opening and closing the store, supervising associates, and maintaining a friendly, easy-to-shop environment.

You'll ensure proper merchandise presentation, maintain clean work areas, and execute company processes. The position emphasizes safety, customer service, and strong leadership to drive daily

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store when acting as Manager on Duty.
• Supervise Associates and maintain a friendly shopping environment.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and stockroom organization to standard.
• Execute and supervise operational processes as needed.
• Control front-end operations and cashier procedures.
• Assist with administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager.
