Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to manage a store area and oversee operations as Manager on Duty. You will open/close, supervise Associates, and maintain an inviting shopping environment with proper merchandise presentation.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety, front-end efficiency, merchandising, and loss prevention while supporting payroll and administrative tasks under Store Leadership.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills and professionalism.
• Fluency in English with prior supervisory or leadership experience.
• Familiarity with POS equipment and basic cashier operations.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and easy-to-shop environment for customers.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and stockroom organization.
• Lead front-end operations to expedite customer flow and throughput.
• Uphold loss prevention practices and safety procedures daily.
• Assist with payroll, scheduling, and administrative duties as assigned.
