Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and assist in daily operations as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, and uphold a clean, inviting shopping environment while ensuring company processes are followed.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety, front-end efficiency, merchandising, stockroom upkeep, and supporting payroll and administrative tasks as assigned by Store Manager. Strong supervisory skills required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, secure store environment and supervise staff as needed.
• Trains and coaches associates on cash handling and front-end procedures.
• Ensure merchandising standards and stockroom organization are maintained.
• Support loss prevention programs and policy compliance.
• Assist Store Manager with administrative duties including payroll-related tasks.
