Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined portion of a Ross Store, ensure daily operations run smoothly, and supervise Associates on the sales floor. The role emphasizes safety, Customer service, and adherence to Company policies in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will maintain presentation standards, manage back stock, and contribute to a welcoming, efficient shopping experience for Customers and Team Members alike.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment and report unsafe conditions.
• Supervise Associates during store operations and as Manager on Duty.
• Represent the Ross brand professionally and ensure merchandising standards.
• Manage front-end operations to maintain quick, friendly checkout lines.
• Train Associates on cash registers, shrink control, and procedures.
• Oversee back stock, stockroom organization, and merchandise processing.
