Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to join the Store Leadership team. The role manages a defined store area, oversees operations when acting as Manager on Duty, and ensures safety, merchandise presentation, and a friendly shopping environment.

You will supervise associates, enforce company processes, and support strong Customer service while maintaining store standards and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe and secure shopping environment for customers and Associates.
• Oversees store operations during Manager on Duty shifts.
• Supervises Associates and ensures proper merchandising and housekeeping.
• Executes company operational processes and loss prevention programs.
• Trains and coaches staff on cash handling and front-end procedures.
• Manages stocking, floor moves, and back-stock to presentation standards.
• Ensures compliance with monthly presentation guidelines and signage.
