Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. in Skokie, IL is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a designated store area and oversee daily operations as the Manager on Duty, including opening/closing, supervising Associates, and ensuring an inviting, well-merchandised store.

You will uphold safety, loss prevention, customer service, and front-end procedures while training staff and enforcing company standards to deliver an exceptional Ross shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure store environment and ensure customer safety.
• Supervise Associates and ensure adherence to company standards and merchandising procedures.
• Represent and support the Ross brand with a professional appearance and conduct.
• Oversee front-end operations, cashier training, and break scheduling to sustain efficiency.
• Manage stockrooms, back stock, and merchandise flow to floor according to policy.
