Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area and assist with daily operations, opening/closing, and supervising Associates to maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment.

You will uphold Company standards for merchandising, safety, and loss prevention, coach team members, and ensure efficient front-end operations while delivering strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the Store and supervise Associates when Manager on Duty.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and store cleanliness to standard.
• Maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment and customer focus.
• Enforce safety, loss prevention, and company policies on the sales floor.
• Coach and develop Associates, manage front-end operations, and optimize checkout efficiency.
• Assist with store operations and administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager.
