Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a Store's assigned area and supervise the store when on duty. You will open/close, manage associates, maintain safe, clean, well-merchandised conditions and ensure company processes are followed.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent customer service, and ability to work evenings and weekends while upholding Ross's values and loss prevention standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates when the Manager on Duty is not present.
• Maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
• Enforce safety, loss prevention, and security procedures on the sales floor.
• Train and coach Associates on cash handling, POS procedures, and customer service standards.
• Ensure stockrooms are organized and merchandise is displayed per guidelines.
• Assist with administrative duties assigned by Store Manager.
