Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to join our store leadership team. You will be responsible for a specific area of the store, oversee opening/closing, supervise associates, and ensure a friendly, easy-to-shop environment while executing company processes.

You will maintain merchandise presentation, support loss prevention, lead front-end operations, handle payroll duties, and collaborate with store leadership to drive safety, guest service and results.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open/close store and supervise Associates.
• Maintain friendly, easy-to-shop environment and ensure security.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and stockroom organization.
• Lead frontline operations and ensure efficient checkout flow.
• Assist with payroll administration and scheduling tasks.
• Support loss prevention and safety initiatives.
• Train and coach Associates on cash handling and store policies.
• Ensure adherence to company procedures and standards.
