Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and oversee daily operations as the Manager on Duty. You will supervise Associates, ensure safety, merchandise presentation, and a positive shopping environment.

This role emphasizes supervision, loss prevention, customer service, and front-end management. The Area Supervisor will coordinate with Store Leadership to maintain stockrooms, process deliveries, and uphold Ross standards across shifts in Bluffton, SC.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent English with strong customer-service orientation
• Prior supervisory experience in retail preferred
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications
• Ability to perform basic math calculations used in retail
• Ability to work evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise associates.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and a clean, organized sales floor.
• Lead loss-prevention efforts and ensure security procedures are followed.
• Provide excellent customer service and support store associates.
• Oversee front-end operations and cashier processes.
• Train and coach associates on registers, policies and safety.
• Handle administrative duties including scheduling and payroll tasks.
• Maintain stockrooms and ensure timely processing of stock and back stock
