Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor who will lead a specific store area and oversee daily operations when the Manager on Duty is away. The role emphasizes safety, merchandising, customer service, and staff supervision.

The Area Supervisor will ensure proper store presentation, training, and adherence to company policies while supporting the Store Manager and leadership team.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise associates as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment and merchandising standards.
• Lead front-end operations to ensure quick checkout and customer service.
• Enforce loss prevention practices and store policies.
• Train and coach associates on cash handling and POS procedures.
• Support payroll and administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager.
