Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to join our Store Leadership team. You will oversee a specific area of the store, supervise associates, and ensure loss prevention, merchandising, and customer service standards are met.

You will open/close the store, manage the floor, train associates, and uphold company policies while maintaining a safe, welcoming shopping environment. Evening/weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Safe & Secure Environments through safety-conscious leadership.
• Oversees daily store operations, ensuring merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Supervises Associates, opens/closes the store, and supports Manager on Duty tasks.
• Executes and enforces Company processes, loss prevention, and frontline operations.
• Trains and coaches Associates on cash registers, procedures, and customer service standards.
• Manages floor moves, signing, and merchandising in assigned department.
