Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and assist in daily operations as Manager on Duty.

You will open/close the store, supervise associates, and ensure a welcoming, well-merchandised shopping environment. Responsibilities include maintaining safety, executing merchandising standards, controlling loss prevention, training front-end staff, and ensuring timely processing of receipts and stock.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store as assigned.
• Supervise associates and maintain a friendly shopping environment.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and stockroom cleanliness.
• Enforce loss prevention and safety procedures.
• Train and coach front-end staff on cash registers and procedures.
