Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho, seeks a Manager - Area Manufacturing Engineer to lead Dry Etch, PCVD, and Implant operations, drive capacity and safety, and coach a high-performing team.

Requirements include a bachelor’s in engineering and 3+ years in semiconductor manufacturing with leadership, plus expertise in MES, planning, scheduling, and data analysis using Tableau, Python, and AI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, supply chain or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of front-end semiconductor manufacturing experience with people leadership.
• Advanced knowledge of Fab MES, capacity planning, floor scheduling, and line management systems; able to automate processes and analyze data with Tableau, Python and AI tools.
• Strong conflict management, negotiation and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the Area Manufacturing Engineering team to deliver performance improvements and develop team members.
• Identify systemic issues affecting equipment availability, tool utilization, and cycle time; drive corrective actions.
• Promote safety culture through training, audits, and modeling safe behaviors.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to establish metrics, targets, and communicate goals.
• Innovate by researching and deploying new operational management techniques and tools.
• Coordinate Fab-wide long-term processes to align with tactical and strategic plans.
