Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise is seeking an Engineering Design Manager to lead design execution for major semiconductor facility projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in engineering, design management, facilities engineering, construction engineering, or capital project delivery.
• 2+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams, project teams, or engineering consultants through influence in a matrixed environment.
• Experience managing or overseeing third-party A/E firms, engineering consultants, or specialty design partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design activities from concept development through issued-for-construction design packages.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and external A/E partners to deliver safe, compliant, constructible, and high-quality designs.
• Drive design reviews, resolve technical issues and design conflicts, and manage design-related risks throughout project execution.
• Partner with construction, procurement, operations, and project stakeholders to align engineering deliverables with project milestones and execution requirements.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools and technologies to improve engineering workflows, design coordination, decision-making, and project execution effectiveness.
