Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise is seeking an Engineering Design Manager to lead and coordinate engineering design execution for major semiconductor facility projects. This individual contributor role ensures design quality, constructability, schedule alignment and seamless collaboration with external A&E partners through matrixed teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years in engineering, design management, or capital projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a matrixed environment.
• Experience overseeing third-party A&E firms and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design activities from concept to issued-for-construction design packages.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external A&E partners to deliver safe, compliant designs.
• Drive design reviews, resolve issues, and manage design-related risks.
• Partner with construction, procurement, operations and stakeholders to align deliverables with milestones.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to improve workflows and decision-making.
