Amazon.com Services LLC - A57 in Michigan is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will mentor, motivate, and develop your team to meet safety, quality, attendance and performance goals while ensuring efficient operations on site.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Eligible candidates should be prepared to work varied shifts with nights, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or another related field.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs.
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT. equipment (at applicable facilities) and step in as needed.
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.
• Climb and descend stairs (when applicable).
