Job summary

Amazon in Michigan is seeking an Area Manager to lead a warehouse team, mentor 50–100 direct report associates, and drive safety, quality and productivity on the floor. This is an early-career, full-time role located in one of Amazon’s operations facilities in Michigan.

You will manage shifts that include nights, weekends, and holidays, with a typical 4-day pattern. The position provides extensive training and opportunities to grow within Amazon's Operations network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree required before first day.
• Strong communication skills reinforced by customer service experience.
• Enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Lead from the floor with autonomous decision making and team leadership.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays; most sites follow a 4-day work week.
• Oversee truck deliveries, sort packages, and operate equipment as needed.
• Ensure safety, quality, attendance and performance are maintained.
