Job summary

Amazon is hiring Area Managers for its Operations network in California. You will lead 50-100 direct report associates in fast-paced warehouse environments, focusing on safety, quality, and productivity. You will mentor teams, manage shifts up to 12 hours, and adapt to nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Strong communication and customer service are essential for success. The role offers extensive training and opportunities to advance within a large, customer-focused operations network.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or another related field.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs.
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment and step in as needed.
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies.
